American Legion Post 307 Donation Program
The American Legion, chartered by Congress in 1919, is the nation's largest wartime veterans organization. Its purpose is encapsulated in four core pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. The organization's mission is "To enhance the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness." This is achieved through a diverse array of programs and advocacy efforts that strengthen the nation "one community at a time."
Local American Legion posts are the grassroots foundation of this mission. They directly support individuals and charitable entities through a combination of fundraising and direct donations. These posts provide financial aid to veterans and their families in need, often through programs like the National Emergency Fund for disaster relief or the Temporary Financial Assistance program for families facing unexpected hardships. Posts also raise and donate millions of dollars to various charitable causes, including scholarships for the children of veterans, youth programs such as American Legion Baseball and Boys State, and support for organizations that assist disabled veterans and their families. This localized charitable giving ensures that the Legion's broader mission is carried out with a direct, tangible impact on the lives of those it serves.
Donation requests* should be submitted to the Post 307 Finance Committee Chairman, Kenny Enclade, in person or via email at
